Peoples Advocate by Russell Williams Oct 12, 2008 We The People Exploited by Corporate America. |
|
This is really old stuff but it hasn't gone away. It has become worse. Corporate America has no interest in kids or even people except to exploit them. Our lives depend on Corporate America. What a fix. We are corrupted, not only on the web, but from advertisements that overtly and subliminally tell kids and adults what they should be. And they work else there would be no return on the very expensive investment. Our personalities are subliminally shaped unless we are sharp and on our toes. The work-a-day man is too drained by job pressures and peer competition to put the energy into self-awareness and politics. We, the people, need a non-political, non-religious advocate. I believe that, in a limited way, the ACLU is one such advocate. Please remember that if there is any way to exploit you it will surely be used. What can we do as the Peoples Advocate? * There might be a special section here for Peoples Advocacy. * We can promote Critical Thinking and awareness of Debate Tactics for children at the earliest possible age. * We can acknowledge that power always has been and always will be corrupt. That power will always tend to exploit us. * We can remain fully self-supportive and decline contributions from outside interests. * We can acknowledge a need for spirituality in our survival. * We can acknowledge that democracy offers a chance for 51% of the people to exploit the remainder. * We can acknowledge that a the majority of people do not know what is in their best interest. * We can have goals: A right to work and participate in society. There has to be room for each and every person. Mandatory health insurance for everyone. A population size that can be supported by the economy. Education aimed at personal survival and personal fulfillment rather than technology. Perhaps acknowledge that we are born as social beings and things happen that make us self-centered or anti-social. OK, that is a start; open for brain-storming. With Brotherly Love, Russell |
